I have had 7 service visits and 4 ice machine replacements as well as the whole back fan assembly well.  I am on my 3rd out of warranty call ($140 up front costs) to address the ice machine replaced 97 days ago as well as the fridge constantly freezing up and maintains a warm 50 DEGF max.   This is the 4th different service company.

The freezer is fine and the cooling drawer is fine - i replaced the harness myself because all the lighting went out on the temperature control.

New fridges are expensive and this fridge is about 10 years old now.  Is it time to throw in the towel and get a new one ?

Thank you

If the ice maker is the only issue, just keep the fridge and stop calling service. The ice machines in Samsung freezers have an icing up problem.  This has always been and, apparently, will always ever be.  Just resign yourself to bringing out a blow dryer once a month to defrost the icemaker.  Next time you are in the market for a refrigerator, choose a brand with no known icing problem.
