Kitchen and Family HubConsumer Alert
My Samsung refrigerator (model RF260BEAESR) has a well known defect, the back wall ices up, water pools under drawers, and the drain clogs.
Samsung admits this problem exists, they even released a repair kit and internal service bulletins, but when customers ask for help, they hide behind expired warranties. Meanwhile, Samsung already fixed ice maker defects for free under a special program. Why not this defect too?
I’ve already filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, and my state representatives, and now I’m sharing my story publicly. Consumers deserve companies that stand behind their products instead of denying responsibility for design flaws.
Samsung, it’s time to do the right thing.

I had the same problem with the same model
It's a pain, but the repair is easy to do. The part you need is under $10
1. Shut off refrig
2. Remove all items from refrig & freezer
3. Remove drawers and shelves
4. Dry any moisture
5. Remove back wall panel
You will see an evaporated tab on the coil
You need to replace it. Only place I could find a tab was on Amazon. A few years ago my replacement cost less than $5
The new one is 2x the size of the original
Replace. Close everything up. Set temp. Should be good for a long time (I'm on 6 years)
Do not damage the coils.
Good luck
