Kitchen and Family HubHave NSG6DG8700SRAA kitchen gas range converted to propane. Oven bake and convection bake work perfectly. All top burners work perfectly. Tried to use air fry, which the 62 page owner's manual says "Preheating is not necessary for this mode." Selected air fry, set temperature to 375F, placed food on air fry tray in specified position. Very little heating occurred. After 15 minutes, reprogrammed for convection bake, found that oven temperature was only 225F but increased rapidly once convection bake was selected. What may be causing extremely slow heating when in air fry mode?

Hello FrankJNatoli, we understand you concern regarding the air fry feature not working and would like to ask additional questions. Have you tried adjusting the temperature of the overall range itself? Upon research, page. 38, from the e-manual: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202504/20250407170743895/O_DG68-01615A-05_IB_FULL_NX91... has instructions to assist. Please let us know if the temperature adjustment helps.

Kitchen and Family HubIf I understand the process on page 38 correctly, it is to be used if the oven seems to have the programmed temperature "wrong", e.g., set BAKE to 400F and only appear to get 300F. That is not what is happening. As I wrote above, BAKE and CONVECTION BAKE work perfectly, showing during pre-heat the movement of temperature from start to programmed temperature. Unfortunately, the AIR FRY mode has no such display, no movement from start temperature to programmed temperature, the AIR FRY presumably begins immediately. My observation was that, after 15 minutes of waiting with AIR FRY operating, there had been very little oven heating, but as soon as I switched to CONVECTION BAKE the heating proceeded normally. I checked with my installer and he said, for his Samsung at home, he always preheats on BAKE to desired temperature then switches to AIR FRY. Can you confirm this should be done?

Kitchen and Family HubHello FrankJNatoli, I understood your original concern and provided the manual as a reference for review. However, as you have already contacted the installer regarding the temperature and air fry mode, I can confirm using "BAKE" mode to preheat the oven can be very helpful with your temperature concern expressed as it heats the oven to a set temperature.
