KitchenHi - I have a family hub RS68N8941SL. I'm based in the UK and have posted in the EU community but so far go not responses so trying here...
The hub is currently dripping water from the base which is coming from the ice maker. It’s making ice but then melting and dripping out of the bottom of the bucket…
The main freezer is -19 degrees so I think there might be an ice maker fan which may need replacing.
(note I have previously successfully replaced the main evaporator fan when the whole freezer section stopped freezing a year or so ago, but I don’t think that’s the problem here - but I could be wrong)
From some research I believe if there is one, that it is behind the ice maker itself but I cannot for the life of me remove it.
I’ve unscrewed the screws and tried to put a flathead screwdriver where the little arrow is on the right hand side to release what should be a catch holding the ice maker in place. However there appears to be nothing there - so all I’ve achieved is scratching / bending the plastic around the arrow.
Please could someone provide to help or guidance; I’ve seen the eSpares video but I just cannot get the thing off!
Any thoughts gratefully received!
