Hello. This fridge is now displaying news articles. Your support here says we can go into "Security" and turn that off. Conveniently, "Security" is an option that is no longer there! On top of that, if you introduce some new feature like this, how about have an icon right there, so the first time you see it, you can decide to turn it off or not. Why make it so impossible to get rid of?
For now, we have just turned the internet off to our fridge.
You guys have some terrible ideas over there. How about, if we want news, we add it ourselves? The only way to get rid of this junk is to disable everything.
I don't really want to know how to fix YOUR issue here. I want an apology and have this junk removed in an update from your end.
This is awful. I have kids that don't need to be exposed to news articles that I don't approve. I need to control that, not you. I got this fridge so the kids would have fun with pictures and readings. And now instead of having a beautiful screen, I get news and ads that ruin it. This is a bad bad bad look
Our fridge is the first and LAST Samsung device our household ever buys. Oh? You want some milk? How about getting news about war in Gaza getting slammed into your face first. Some eggs? Look at this murder statistic instead. It's not just traumatizing for kids; it's harmful to any human being's mental welfare. What a nightmare of a product. The almost-funny part is that, while I'm writing the same words being shown in my kitchen 24/7 here, this comment box is throwing an error, saying that my message contains a word that's not permitted in the community. Be so for real.
Is Samsung paying attention? How can we keep kids from beginning their day with a.m. trauma of unwanted news on the fridge screen, without just boycotting Samsung products from now on?
we also disabled the WIFI. didnt want the news shoved in our throat. now we have a big square appearing on the screen saying โWIFI is not available. thanks Samsung for this brilliant idea.
Please make the news stop on my FAMILY Home Hub! No one in my household wants to see the terrible news and it is inappropriate for kids!!! This should be optional and not mandatory. Please make it stop. This type of thing is causing me to not buy anymore Samsung devices.
