Hello, a year ago we bought this electric range and the past 2 weeks it randomly makes the chime noise when not in use like the oven is being turned on and off. Today while trying to bake it gets to 350 and just shuts off. Has anyone had this happen?

Hello @Ab37006! Thank you for reaching out! I see how this can be frustrating with your oven not staying on. I would recommend trying the steps below.

    1. Verify the oven door was not left open.

The oven will turn off if the door is left opened for over 1 minute.

    2. Check the temperature probe (if applicable).

If the probe is only partially inserted, the icon on the panel will light up, but the oven will not cook. Once you try to cook, the oven will shut off immediately because the connection to the probe is not secure.

Either completely insert or completely remove the temperature probe to prevent this.

Electrical repairs should be performed by a licensed electrician. Also, Samsung cannot ensure normal operation if a generator is used as a power source, since generators do not offer a stable power supply.

  1. Check the circuit breaker.

Reset the circuit breaker by switching it off for 30 seconds and then switching it back on. If your range continues to trip the circuit breaker, contact a licensed electrician.

  2. Inspect the power cord.

Verify that the range is plugged in securely and that the cord is not loose. For a gas range, test the outlet with another item, like a lamp. If other items do not work in the outlet, the issue is with the outlet, not the range. Contact a licensed electrician.

  3. Check the power supply.

Your appliance will need either a 120V or 240V connection, depending on your model.

If none of this helps service will be required. Depending on your warranty you will have a couple of options.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.
