We have a Samsung Refrigerator (RF31CG7400SR) purchased in December of 2023. It has stopped working. It doesn't cool and the freezer doesn't freeze. When I contacted Samsung service they were able to detect a refrigerant leak and they would send service. When the contracted service company called to schedule, they told us because it was no longer under warranty, we would have to pay a $450 NONREFUNDABLE service fee, and I would have to pay for any parts and service that may not be under warranty. I explained that it should be under warranty because in the owner's manual it states that refrigerant and compressor have a 5 year warranty. Now tell me why should I pay for service when not only is it covered by warranty, but it is also a KNOWN problem?
Not only is the product faulty, but the service is abysmal. And the companies they contract with for service are extremely expensive.

It's a third party service. Contact samsung and tell them.

I did. The 3rd party contractor they chose is the one that is charging 450 NONREFUNDABLE.
