Galaxy WatchSamsung find for the watch has been broken since the OneUI7 update to the phone. Something in that update broke the connection between the Find app and the watch's Samsung account. I put in an error report when it originally started, and my report still says under review. They offered a "suggested solution", which I don't want to do (because it's only a minor irritant and I have workarounds) and other people have said it does not work for them. The "solution" was to disconnect the watch from the wear app, unpair it from your phone, reset the watch, uninstall the wear app and then set the whole shebang up from scratch. Too much trouble for something they broke. You should put in your own error report.
I don't tend to misplace my devices, but I sometimes test the find features. I now use Google Find Hub to locate ALL my devices. As long as one find app works, should I need to locate my devices, it doesn't matter to me which one it is. I was worried that if I misplaced my phone around the house, I wouldn't be able to ping it, but that feature of the watch still works. Pull down the quick panel on the watch and tap the find my phone icon, and it will still ring your phone to locate it. If I lose my phone somewhere else, I can use Google find from any device by logging into my Google account from a web browser.
