I want to add an image to my Watch 6 using the Wearable app on my Samsung s24. But when I tap on Manage Content, the next screen shows up but with a message saying I need to allow permissions. This screen only shows up for about a second, and then goes back to the previous screen (which itself is aggravating).

This app has all permissions enabled. So what could be the problem?

can you post a screenshot of all of the permissions to see what might be going on.

On the wearable app screenshot click on Permissions and send that screenshot since your screenshot doesn't look like the wearable app has permission for photos

I don't see any permissions for photos. See attached.

(And thanks so much for helping me with this)Screenshot_20251006_132036_Permission controller.jpg

I found a workaround. Instead of using the Wearable app to pull the image into the watch, I opened the image and used share to push  it into the watch.

Why is this important? The image gallery is not just for pretty photos. It can also be for important information stored locally in the watch.

Thanks for your help. I'm sure it's one of those complex overlaps of different permission settings that our phones get, especially when we don't stay with the defaults.
