I don't know when it drop, but, there is another update for the Watch 8 Classic. That is the 2nd update on a new watch. I have a sneaky suspicion Samsung is releasing products that aren't full stable releases.

I mean it's a new watch. There could be some issues that might of not appeared in the past and now they're working on it.

Strict product launch schedules + massive product lineups + promises of extended software support... outside looking in, there's no way Sammy's software engineers aren't spread thin/totally underwater.

I get it. Buggy software has never been this bad.

I am now installing the 2nd .update to my Watch Ultra 2024 since I got the stable release last month

Massive product lineups are a huge part of the equation/problem imo.

THE issue imo. Choice is great, and I get that low end A series are big sellers... but I would rather see a lineup of 5 very refined phones with lots of attention to detail.

Kinda how it is now for devices that release with a new OS. They may get it first, but the cleanup always comes with the official release for the previous generation.

The update was released to the US market yesterday, first released in Korea last week. It has a very small footprint and according to everything I've read it only involves security updates as evidenced by the Security Patch Level moving from May 1 to August 1. This would be in keeping with the normal security update schedule.
