My watch 7 battery is draining instead of charging when using the Samsung charger.
Anybody know this "hidden feature"and more importantly know a solution?
While using an official Samsung charger ad cable my watch battery is being drained, the charger works fine charging the Galaxy watch and watch5 we have but only when using it for my own watch 7 the battery is draining. So the actual charger is working.
I have a powerbank with a wireless charging function and that is currentky the only way I can charge the watch7 , so the watch itself is also working.
It's just the combination of the watch 7 and the Samug magnatic wireless fast charger is giving this problem, we have a usb-a and a usb-c version of the fast charger and both give the same result with different charging adapters.
Since the powerbank option charges the watch I have a workaround but is is a "bit"annoying
Are you using the watch 7 charger or the watch 5 charger? Using the charger that came with the 7 will charge all the watches, but using previous chargers will not charge the 7. That's why the power bank works.
You should be using the charging puck that came with the watch 7 to charge it. The watch 5 is only like 5V/2A, but the watch 7 supports QC 3.0, which is like up to 60W 20V/3A. The watch 5 charging puck doesn't put out enough juice for the watch 7.
