Watch 5: Turn off "Welcome Home" message

Galaxy Watch 5: "Welcome home. Want to go back to the watch face you were using before your trip?" - No, I don't. Please stop asking me, especially since I didn't go on a trip.

My Galaxy Watch 5 keeps asking me, "Welcome home want to go back to the watch face you were using before your trip?" several times a day.

I searched if anyone else had this issue, and Bing returns just one result matching exactly this issue, from someone posting here having the same issue with their Galaxy Watch 6. But apparently the post is archived. Why?? Doesn't seem like the problem was ever fixed, lol.

Does anyone know what causes this and how it can be stopped?

Side note, but related: I'm at the point now where I am becoming very irritated with my Watch 5. I was more forgiving of its faults and quirks before, but not really patient with it anymore. Especially since the frequency of it arbitrarily stopping tracking my walks with not even a buzz to notify me has increased significantly recently. Yes, I have auto-detect turned off. Funny thing is, I tested it with a "Walk" session while sitting at my desk for an hour, and it tracked the entire session without ever asking me if I wanted to end it or just attempting to go rogue and end it all on its own. That is a separate issue. This telling me welcome home from my trip when I didn't go anywhere is the issue I am asking about here now.

I don't trust Samsung to have addressed many or even any of the concerns people have brought up with the Watch over the years. For example this issue - I'mm experiencing it on my Watch 5, yet someone with a Watch 6 is also asking about it. The ending workouts early thing - people have been complaining about it on several iterations of the Watch. Yet, it still persists. I don't really want to risk spending my hard-earned dollars on a newer version with more features I may or may not use, but basic functionality issues still go unaddressed as customers are somehow expected to put up with mediocrity.

I've been on many trips and have never seen this message. Are you using a 3rd party app for watch faces?

Me either I'll never had that pop up on screen before on any of my watch faces and I'm using Galaxy watch 7 now but I've never seen that

I have this same issue, and I can't get any solution for this. I had just used a suggestion to change my watch face to a dual clock one after I had an international flight. Since then, i keep on getting this notification daily.

I have the same issue since returning from Oz in February. Seems to ask every time it disconnects and reconnects to my phone. Very annoying. Doesn't seem to be a common fault/occurance but an answer would be appreciated before I bin it for another option. Posted May 2025

Me too!!  Since i didn't find any setting for this, i do wonder if it is a third party watch face triggering it.  I think i'll remove them and see if it changes.  Very annoying to have the message show multiple times a day.  And im not even back home, i'm still travelling!
