I have a Galaxy watch 6 classic and a Galaxy fold 5. I have been trying in vain to get the watch app to work and all it keeps saying is update the app on your phone but meanwhile both the watch and phone app or at the latest version. I'm going bonkers over here. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Here is what worked for me today: I uninstalled smart things from the watch using my phone and then installed smart things on my watch from my watch. This worked for both my wife and I (but we both have watch 4 and s23 Ultras)
By the way I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have tried clearing the caches and clearing the data for the watch app for the Google Play app and for the wearable app. Still it says on the watch update the app on your phone. It looks like to me Samsung is looking for a version that is not available anymore or the watch has skipped ahead of version or something. Has anyone figured out a fix for this?
The current version of SmartThings in the Google Play Store is 1.8.01.22. Under How to use, SmartThings for Galaxy Watch it says the Supported watches are Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5. There may need to be an updated version of the SmartThings app to support Galaxy Watch 6.
Same issue on a Pixel 7 Pro. I'm oddly encouraged to see others struggling with this. I was worried that the Smartthings integration might be restricted to Samsung only phones, like the ECG and Blood Pressure features.
