My Galaxy watch was very good at telling me how many lengths I had done in a pool, but now I sea swim it frequently tells me I have done zero meters in how every many minutes.
Are you using the open water swim exercise rather than the pool swim exercise? They are measured differently. One uses GPS to measure distance, the other goes by laps based on the size you set for the pool. So, if you turn on pool swim for sea swimming, nothing will get measured at all.
