So, I just bought a Watch 8 Classic for Christmas, Got it on the 2nd, and after setting everything up, the battery's just draining super fast. I'm barely getting 16 to 18 hours. Any tips on how to make the battery last longer?

If you got the watch on January 2nd, today is only the 5th - it's 3 days old.

The battery will drain pretty rapidly during the first days of setting it up and using it.  Downloading apps, updating,  fiddling with the settings, rebooting, all take a lot of energy.  Add to that that the battery has to take time to learn your normal usage patterns - it could take up to 2 weeks to stabilize.  For the first few days 16-18 hours is not abnormal with all that is going on in the background.  After the battery stabilizes, you should be getting 28-38 hours with normal use.

You can do some things to eke out some extra battery savings.

1. lower the vibration intensity.  The stronger the intensity, the more battery it will use.  If you get a lot of calls and notifications, this can add up.

2. put the watch in sleep mode if you wear it to bed.  This will keep the screen from waking up with movement.

3. use tap to wake instead of raise wrist to wake.  You don't really need the watch waking up every time you lift your arm.

4. Keep the screen brightness to the lowest level where you can comfortably see your watch face.

5. Do not use the always on display unless you really, really need to.

6.  If you really don't need to use the sensors at all times and don't need your notifications coming to the watch (kind of defeats the purpose of a smart watch), you can put the watch in watch only mode.
