Gemini Assistant refuses to read text messages on One UI 8 beta Galaxy Watch Ultra

On Galaxy Watch Ultra on UI 8 Beta Google Gemini is refusing to read my text messages.

The Legacy Google assistant read my messages to me without problems.

Both the phone and the watch versions of Gemini have SMS permission enabled.

Gemini can read my messages on the phone without any problems. Only Gemini on the watch refuses to read my text messages.

Gemini on neither my Fold 7 nor my GW Ultra running UI 8 will read my text messages. The message is basically that Gemini isn't allowed to due to privacy issues.

Gemini is able to read and send messages on my Galaxy S25 Ultra , One UI 8

I have all the extensions turned ON in Gemini settings. However it will not read messages on the Galaxy Watch Ultra , One UI 8
