Galaxy S25I did a smart switch transfer from my S22 Ultra to my S25 ultra. Everything transferred except the widgets.
While the widgets did NOT transfer, it did leave like shaded ghost image of the size, shape and placement of where the widgets should be.
The S 25 acknowledges that something is there by a long press. It will prompt to "remove". When I tap remove, nothing happens except the menu disappears. The shadow is still there.
I am able to recreate the widget which was placed on a diff page with open space. When trying to long press then move it to the original location, it won't allow. I saw one message saying space is not available. And again, you can see the shadow still occupying that space.
I was on with three samsung techs and no one can help. They just said it's not working with no suggestions. Even on Smart Tutor, they couldn't help.
Maybe I have a defective unit?

Galaxy S25Download Home Up from the Galaxy Store, install it. Go to the home screen settings and scroll down to more customization, turn on Home screen and any other options you want. In Home screen there are many options to choose from. I have my screen set to 6x7. 6 rows across 7 rows down, and max favorites 7 (your dock)
It will take some trial and error, to set things the way you want, it so worth it.

Galaxy S25Thanks. That's exactly what I did. However, the space previously occupied from the old widgets are blocked off. The new widgets that I created are placed on another page that has open space.
That blocked space has a shadow that can't be removed with a long press.

Galaxy S25Turn off phone.
While powered down, press power key and volume up button simultaneously until the phone vibrates. Let go of buttons. You will now be in the bootloader. Using Volume buttons for scrolling, power button for Yes.
Scroll down to Wipe Cache Partition. Press power, scroll to Yes, press power. Reboot press power key.

Galaxy S25Still doesn't work but thanks anyway. I thought of a way that might resolve this. I'll report back after...
