I can't get trusted places to turn on. I have set this up on every phone I have ever owned. It just won't turn on.

Updated Google Play Services to the current version. Wiped cache in Google Play Services and cache partition !

Anyone else with this problem on their S25U?

You can try a wipe cache partition to see if that solves the problem!

Power off the device, while powered down, press power button and Volume up button simultaneously until the phone vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of buttons, you will now be in the bootloader screen, using the power button for Yes and the volume buttons for scrolling, scroll to Wipe cache partition, press power scroll to yes, press power, reboot press power.

If this doesn't work I would take the device to a authorized Samsung service center to have it evaluated.

S25U... pretty technically proficient here, never have been able to use trusted places for extend unlock or trusted devices... it's wild. Plus the issue with Samsung and Google wiping each other out as far as syncing contacts and getting rid of each other's personal updates that I have done on contacts. The native auto correct and lack of ability to add your own words and preferences is pretty bad too. I love the camera on this, but the software on this phone with these issues feels like I shouldn't have paid top tier prices for this phone. Why doesn't Samsung address these issues???

Samsung and Google need to get their act together with Play System updates. So many simple things can be fixed with that update. Samsung is the ONLY Android OEM that is months behind most people are stuck on July and September.

And their official excuse (pardon me, reason) for holding back Play system updates is "to avoid potential issues." Such issues only exist because of the extensive modifications Samsung makes in One UI.

This is true, they also want to hold back features that get turned on with Play System updates. Things also get fixed with these updates. I am not talking about security drops in the update, Samsung does incorporate them in Security Patches. Just slower than getting them from a Play System update. We can't get hot fixes for critical zero day stuff.

And so we remain potentially (needlessly?) vulnerable.
