Too many smart apps

I have so many devices attached to my phone. I don't know how to rename them all so I can differentiate? Also, I often swipe down on BT many times before I even get a pick list??? Thanks in advance.

To rename your Bluetooth devices

Long-press on the Bluetooth Icon
Then click on Details
Then click the gear icon for the device you want to rename
Then at the bottom, click rename.
