So this issue started about a week ago my phone would just somehow rapidly go from 0% to 10 within seconds and then would shut off and then go back to 3. After that it just settled at 5% but I realized everytime I plug and unplug it i gain a percent?? I restarted my phone twice and it went away until today my phone started rapidly charging again weirdly it got to 27 and shut off and it said it was at 13%?? And right now it seems to be ok.

Hey joel1234567! Thanks for reaching out to us here in the community. I know this purchase must have been exciting, and it will be my pleasure to help keep it that way.

I recommend giving this link a shot: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10001531/

I know it says phone unexpectedly powers off, but the steps should help with your situation as well.

If this does not help I recommend letting a service technician have a look. As we would like to gather additional information, and look at this from a case by case basis, please provide the full model code and IMEI number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.

Are you charging with the phone on or off

Its a mix of both since it keeps randomly shutting down so I end up charging it for a few minutes and then turning it on and charging

I would keep the phone off when charging and let it fully charge which could be depends on level of charge 2 hours or so if below 40 percent

Replace the charger and cable to rule them out as your main power source.
