Will not upload images the first try through Samsung MMS. RCS is too glitchy, all failed. How can this be fixed, I've tried everything I know with Grok help. I want to simply fix MMS. I hate Google messages and other RCS messengers.

It seems to me, based on your description, that the issue is with your network connection rather than a specific messaging protocol. Neither protocol should be failing regularly.

Contact your carrier for resolution to issues involving sending/receiving messages.

My favorite I hate Google Messages, Why can't Samsung messages work properly?

They deserve the problems they get! Sorry, not sorry.

I really wish Samsung would do away with the messaging app already. The worst thing they did was "peel the bandaid off slowly". They should have just killed it when they threw in the towel on RCS. It's clear weaning the puppies is not working and they just should have thrown the fledgelings out of the nest.

I do not understand what you are trying to accomplish here.  If Textra is starting to fail on group messages, then you need to switch apps.  If neither Samsung messages nor Google messages reside on your device, you will have to download one of them.  Samsung messages can only be obtained from the Galaxy store, and you will not see it if there is no version available for your phone (it's no longer available for every phone).  Google messages can be downloaded from the play store.

I don't know who told you to go to another messaging app to turn off RCS, but the settings of one messaging app have absolutely nothing to do with the settings in another app.  While you can have multiple messaging apps reside on your phone, only one can be used at a time and must be made the default app in order to use it.  What you were likely told was to switch to Google messages and activate RCS, which works best for MMS group chats.  To my understanding, Textra does not have RCS and Samsung messages version of RCS only works with certain carriers and has incomplete compatibility with iPhone users.
