S25+ unable to access apps with a weak signal

On my 3rd day trying to get this phone to work. Can't connect to Google, can't use Gemini, can't use the microphone & so on. can't get through to Samsung support, even chat. 

I know the T-Mobile signal is weak but my S22+ works here. Tried turning off mobile signal to force phone to a strong wi-fi, but phone would not default to WiFi.
