Galaxy S25Not a troll post...
Unpopular opinion. This is something that Samsung needs to fix with a software update for the camera app and sensor in general. I am posting this to help.
I have 20/5. The same as an eagle's vision. For those who don't know, it's better than 20/20 vision. Not trying to brag.
I recently started trying to use the 200M back camera on my brand new S25 Ultra with the most recent software updates and Android version. And I cannot do it. The image quality is absolutely terrible. Why?
Every single shot I take is overexposed and the colours appear brighter than they actually are. For example, an object that is solid red will appear to be almost orange!
Even with basic portraits, the shocking lack of colour accuracy is so awful that I cannot edit it with any photo editing software to be true-to-life, so to speak. Every time I try with literally any setting, it ends up ruining the background or part of the subject in the photo that makes the image even worse than it was originally when taken with the S25 Ultra. I tried with pro settings, with literally every configuration I know of, and the result was never better, only even less accurate than before.
On the contrary, my old S21 5G, which is 4 years old takes much better pictures.
The colour accuracy is significantly better with the S21 Ultra camera, almost exactly the same as real life, and I can easily edit the photo to be perhaps 95% the same as real life. As a matter of fact, I have fooled some photographers who thought the photos I took with my S21 5G (edited) were taken with a professional mirrorless camera.
For reference, I've attached two photos of the same object. A simple object in my washroom. The S25 Ultra camera fails this test miserably. Settings on both smartphone cameras were reverted to "default" so I have not changed any settings. Therefore, this is a fair comparison.
Please fix this, Samsung. Do a software update for the camera to allow for auto HDR and a feature that automatically adjusts for colour accuracy. There is so much potential here for better image quality, and your developers seriously failed here.

Galaxy S25Glad it is working for you! Quite a lot of steps to take, but if I am thinking of a more professional looking image, then perhaps that is how it is done. Thing that is MOST important it that it works for you and it measures up to the price and what its capabilities are. My issues are not so much having to make such adjustments, it is that in general image taking the quality has not changed much over the years except in great daytime shots as I said Samsung rules in that area and get better. But the noise and general color accuracy is not that great initially although I can adjust the shot with the built in editor.
Overall I am happy with my S25U and waiting for the next software update. Enjoy your device and thanks for that post, it was informative and something I learned from. 🙂

Galaxy S25Glad you found a solution. You might want to consider deleting this post in this forum and posting in the Creators group (duplicate posts are not allowed, so just reposting is not an option). I don't know if the monitors consider a new post in a different forum the same as a duplicate if the original was a response, rather than an individual post.

Galaxy S25One thing is picture quality. Everyone is talking about that. Sadly there is another big problem - videos. To be more concrete the lags in videos. When you are shooting the video, there are ocassional lags caused by the software feature "Video stabilization". As soon as you disable the stabilization, lags are gone, but the video is obviously negatively impacted. You can see the video looks more wobbly. I'm surprised nobody is talking about this issue.
Also when zooming in during the video shooting, the camera has issues with focus. There are simply way too many video issues for this device's price point.

Galaxy S25Strangely, I haven't had this issue, and I keep video stabilization set to ON.
I find that when shooting freehand, the case you're using makes a big difference. This one is the best I've used. Very grippy and comfortable, plus an oversized opening for the team C port means you can easily use adapters with it, and better type C cables, such as those from Ult-Unite that are over-specced, with the best e-marker clip implementation. So faster charging and better battery retention overtime, since the battery is staying cooler while charging.
I hope this tip helps if you're shooting videos a lot.

Galaxy S25I would suggest trying what I've written about: Better image quality on S25 Ultra steps
on this discussion post.
Additionally, if you set the colour profile of the display to "vivid" instead of natural, I've noticed a decent improvement in colour accuracy overall; especially in screen captures of video games with cars that have shadows due to lighting and/or solid colours that are now rendered properly.
I believe that Samsung will probably fix the broken camera options so default options and HDR would exceed the limitations of the S21 Ultra / S21 5G. This will mean that people who aren't so tech savvy can enjoy better image quality on their S25 Ultra's.

But I feil sorry for those users who have this problem . I think Samsung should adress this isues soone . I also the the S25 Ultra still runs on a older One Ui 7 beta version . This whole One Ui 7 update seems to be not so good as Samsung claims . I hope Samsung fix all this time will tell .

Galaxy S25Maybe no one but you is having an issue with the flash. Just because *you* are having an issue does not make it universal. And, I find it very hard to believe that you called customer service and they told you "on one else reported this, so it's not a problem", and then offered no remedy or assistance-not even a referral to a service location. Run a diagnostic on your phone, see if the flash comes up as defective. If it does, you need to get it serviced. It should still be under warranty. Does your flashlight work? If it does, there's nothing wrong with the flash, it could be a glitch in the camera app/settings. If your flashlight does not work, it's likely the hardware. It is not unheard of for an LED to be defective.
