Moving from a Samsung Galaxy S> S3 > Note 2 > 3 > 4 > 9 > 20 Ulta 5G > S25 Ultra 5G, I've seen the products evolve. User replaceable batteries have gone away. And after the Note 20 Ultra 5G, we lost the microSD, so more revenue could be shared between Samsung, distributors and retailers (I don't care to acknowledge other excuses). But the S-Pen is heavily used for its remote photo snapshot features, which requires BLE... until the S25 Ultra 5G.

The public excuse for removing this feature was that only 1% of users use the air command feature, which requires the BLE function of the S-Pen, and the S-Pen recharge ability. But the poll taken was highly prejudiced, perhaps including mostly paid employees (?), and did not explore the most popular use of the S-Pen's capability, the use as a snapshot trigger. Every Samsung user I know with a Samsung phone with S-Pen (I've know many, and encouraged even more over the years) use the photo trigger frequently. I use it for group photos, so- called "selfie photos", and at work, I use it to snap photos without touching the device when magnifying electronics components up choose, where a touch would blur the shot.

I "cannot care" about including this feature in the S26, as the pricing is now over USD$1250 just for the S25 Ultra 5G, and it's truly INSANE to pay that much for each successive model, unlike in the past. I want this corrected NOW, updating the camera compatibility to work with a Bluetooth (Ideally BLE) S-Pen replacement which fits the Current S25 Ultra 5G phone, and can optionally charge using the phone's power share or the Samsung wireless charger station, same as the earbuds or Samsung Watch models after the Watch 3. The software update is the easier part, and a BLE S-Pen was already designed and built for ALL recent previous models, it needs only to be enabled to charge via Chi.

At this price point, I call on Samsung to correct the mistake and missing feature, to replace the product design contributors who suggested this stupid de-feature idea, and to roll out the replacement S-Pen with BLE within the next 6 months.

I never used the S-Pen on my S23U for anything other then to make a few circles on an image lol, gf just uses hers to play games, when I heard that the S25U didn't use it, I was fine with it

Why would anyone be annoyed if a new car comes without GPS? They are called "options" for a reason.  I have a phone and could use GPS with that and it's fine.  Why should I pay for the GPS enabled vehicle if I don't need it to be GPS enabled?  The add on market exists because people don't need to pay the car manufacturer's price for something they use infrequently and can get less expensively elsewhere.  Same with phones.  If I don't use the S-Pen, why should I pay for the S-Pen?  Samsung's study (if they actually did one) that only 1% of users use all the features of the S-Pen may have been flawed, but it may also be accurate.  There are million of Samsung users out there and millions with the S-Pen.  The fact that you and six of your friends use them, does not mean that you are not part of the 1%.

I am on the opposite end of that thinking. I want the S-pen gone, for the fact that I do not use it at all as it has no real useful funciton for me personally. I would rather they save the space for larger batteries, better camera hardware, which Samsung has largely maintained since the S20U for basically the same prices since. Most people buy ultra level (flagship) phones for their cameras far more than they do for doodling and making quick notes. While Samsung, Apple and Google keep basically the same hardware that is near at the end of making better software to manipulate image into better shots, other device makers are actually providing far better camera hardware systems and larger batteries, even for less.

I can understand your perspective, if considering the stylus is used for doodling. I often use the stylus, other than for close up photos, for selecting pictures text for translation, as well as to mark up products and/ or layouts with short notes/corrections needing added in a final product, etc. A simple circle around the targeted area/ item needing changed can save looks of confusion when communicating across languages.

S pen function is an ACCESSIBILITY ISSUE. WE NEED IT TO WORK. Either BLUETOOTH or something. Ripping us off.

It is not at all an accessibility feature.  If you need a remote shutter for accessibility, get a watch or ring or a BT remote shutter device or selfie stick. There is a timer delay feature in the camera so that one can set up a shot and get into it before the shutter activates.

Having utilized that feature since its initial introduction with the Note9, I must admit that while I am quite fond of my S25U, I find myself missing the S-Pen's Bluetooth capabilities even more than I had anticipated. 🤔✍️😕📱
