Recently I've been using my s25u and I noticed that my phone gets a little warm on the back whenever I'm using YouTube mostly so I want to know how to stop that

This has been an issue that is sporadic with YouTube. I only experienced it a few times over the past few months but it was like weekly before June. On my S22u, I honestly cannot recall it ever overheating using YouTube and that is without placing limits on YT, but that does not mean it still doesn't/did not occur with other S22u owners.  Despite what some have said, YT is not some big resource hog. It is no different than using TikTok, etc in video playback apps. The problem stems from background usage and the bloated cache it leaves behind.

I typically watch YT at night for info, tech etc. Last night I was on it 56mins and it used 4.4% of my battery; that is hardly resource intensive. I listened to YT music for a little over 30mins the night before, it used 2.3% of my battery. Here is what I do to keep it form getting warm, which means it is using the CPU harder which turns into energy consumption (kind of odd considering the computational power of the SD 8 Elite, but I admit I may be misunderstanding computational power to software usage limits), go to the properties of the YT app, choose battery and put it on "restricted" mode. Then in the device care app, find YouTube in the day last used, scroll down and toggle on "Background usage limits" and then choose "Put it in deep sleep". That will prevent background running when it is not in use. Clear the cache daily even the data (that will not affect the YouTube account history as that is stored on the cloud). Also, allow the screen to timeout if not looking at it, if one is only listening to the video dialogue, that will save battery energy right there.

I know this may seem a bit restricted for the app to run, but the app functions fully once it is in use. Ngl, I think still after these years that it is not optimized between the UI firmware or Google, or even both. But doing a search show that the Pixels do not overheat while using YT nearly as much as Samsung (to other branded devoices) devices do.

Using the camera app, especially recording videos will heat up the device as well. Heck, even taking a lot of photos will do the same.
