Galaxy S25Do you have multiple gmail accounts on your phone? If the contact is listed on more than one account, you may be seeing merged info from the multiple accounts. When you make a change, it is changing the info only on one of the google accounts and not all. Hence, you are seeing both the addresses.
Open Contacts, Click on the contact, scroll all the way to the bottom. If you see a Storage locations button, click on it. That shows you all the gmail accounts the contact info is stored in.
Back out into the Contacts app, click on the three vertical buttons at the top right, click on View by storage location. You can set the storage location by clicking on the gmail account of the first storage location the contact is in and then click on the contact and change the info. Repeat this process for each of the storage locations and the old info will then disappear.
