New unread text messages are no longer bold

My new/unread text messages are no longer bold. I have to go to my notifications to remember what texts are new or unread. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Anyone else having the same problem?

Should be same as before new at top

What if you're having an ongoing conversation. How would you know that they've responded if it's not bold?

Group chat or text would show in same thread and would also be at top as will individual texts seem to show in bold until opened and have a circle on the left with a number such as text and a message or photo would be 2 in circle

Is messages update todate might try clearing the cache in settings than apps than down to messages in storage

I've had the S25 Ultra for about a month, so I would think the message app is up to date but I will check.

It updated 3 days ago. I noticed the difference yesterday.

Hmm clear the phone cache might help

Didn't help. Cleared cache and restarted it twice. Maybe I'm going crazy and it was never bold.
