Galaxy S25I could give you better details, if you could tell me if you're using the Samsung phone app or the Google Phone app.

Galaxy S25In order to end a call, one has to actually answer a call. Same with my cordless landline phone - pressing the "end" button only mutes the ringer. There are too many functions assigned to the side button to also program it to reject calls. If you want to reject a call, you are just going to have to slide the icon on the screen to the left. For all intents and purposes, muting the ringer and letting eventually transfer to VM, is the same as rejection. If the call is spam, you then go into your call log and block and report. If it's just a friend you are ignoring, just let it ring silently away.

Galaxy S25Yes, if they tap the screen. Using the button does not have that function. Using the side button when the phone is ringing, only mutes the call, it does not dismiss it. One could always dismiss the call by swiping left or tapping hang up, depending on which call screen they get. No one is disputing that. The actual issue is the *button*.
