Help! S25 auto adds aps

Idk what is happening. I am all too familiar the play store. Idk how...Idk why but I keep finding new apps on my homescreen that I *did not download!*

Does anyone know how this is happening?

Could be your phone carrier auto installing apps. TMobile does it.

As already mentioned, the apps are probably from your mobile carrier. The hidden cost of free or discounted devices purchased through a carrier is that they get to install "value added" (ha!) apps on your device. This is done via software updates.

The only way to ensure this doesn't happen is to buy factory unlocked devices directly from the manufacturer.

Samsung has device sales throughout the year on their website. Sometimes there are extra discounts for using the Shop Samsung app. I've bought many factory unlocked devices this way. They also accept PayPal. If you have a PayPal Credit account, you can get 6 months interest-free on purchases over $149.

You could have an app on your device installing apps. I would run a malware scan.
If you recently installed an app, try removing it.
