Google messages crashing

anybody having issues like when rcs is on and you try to send a gif or something the app will crash 

i don't know latest update or what clear app data don't work kindof stinks maybe i need to do samsung message not sure 

i can try to uninstall update but don't think it will work

I had RCS issues, but uninstalling updates fixed it. So, give uninstalling updates a shot.

when i clear data google messages went back in rcs didn't come up i had to restart my phone then open up google messages then it told me rcs was on at and t

i have did a test that if i uninstall update send a gif to somebody rcs 1 on 1 chat  it will work but if i update app  send a gif  to somebody it will closed the app seems there's an issue with latest update 

ok you can't really uninstall google messages because pre install on phone i went into google play store and because i uninstall update it just say update and open so i guess not update for time being until they fixed it i do have auto update uncheck btw

somebody did review playstore weds it just crashes saying clear app cache/data don't work

i don't even know what the last update was it seems goes back to a 2024 version 20241014_05_RC04 i have downloaded -20250212-01-rc00 but never install it yet

its odd that latest version android_20250218_01_RC03.phone_dynamic<-when i try to send a gif somebody in rcs chat it close it down try 2nd time it saids app has been closed try again or stop meh

the google messages app updated back on 26th last month  day before my mom had surgey i remember send gif to my sister in law that night and i was always having issues and when i send something to my brother pics from camera roll  it will close once and then i do it 2nd time and works last few days afterwards

so it seems been mess  up since last time it updated on 26th surely next update it will fixed itself this month ya know

i don't know what happen but when new update android_202502225_01_RC03 came out last night and i install it was still doing same issue however after i clear data and restarted phone

i'm not sure why i have to restart phone just because rcs don't come up unlike what happen to version android_20250218_01_RC03

it actually work and i tested it today no closing when i go rcs chat somebody send a gif or when i go to camera roll send a pic very odd

i hope i don't have to do this everytime new update comes start mess up i have to uninstall update and wait new version update it clear data restart phone get show up on phone to be turn on that will be a hassle

tell me something is it better in rcs chat with somebody click on smiley face then gif or click on rcs message than smiley face and gif despite same thing <-i guess google message trying to make going to a gif easy if you just click on smiley face rather then rcs message 1st i don't know
