Google mail is trying to get me to buy more space or to remove data. If space isn't made, I stop getting emails. As I manually make more space, I could swear that many photos/videos were duplicated?! Wonder if Google manufactured this issue to increase sales??

Galaxy S25The free allocation of space in Google includes everything you have in Google Drive, Google Photos and GMail. GMail includes anything you have in folders you created, attachments to email, the trash, spam and sent folders. I suggest, you empty the GMail trash, sent and spam folders and download any attachments to emails you are saving to clear up space and delete those emails. Also, go through your Google Photos and download any that you want to keep to a flash drive or computer. Delete any files you no longer need in Google Drive. Deleting or moving photos from Google photos will also delete them from your phone's gallery, but if you have them backed up on a flash drive or computer, it doesn't matter. You can add any photos that you want to keep on your phone back to your phone, after you clear up space in Google.

Galaxy S25How is it a scam Google only gives you so much storage for free to store items in Google Photo, Google Drive, Gmail and all of the other Google services and once you get to that limit they pause services.
