Googe Assistant does not repsond to "OK google" with my google Worspace account, while using my samsung s25 ultra.
When i say "Ok google", the phone repsonds with a green icon in the top right hand corner. If i press and hold the power button gemini opens and responds to voice.
If I log into a personal account "Ok google" works, but i pay for gemini features on my google workspace account and want to keep all the features in one place. Google worspace is where my domoain and email are supported.
I have been into my administrator console and enabled all of the relevant settings.
I have gone to the security > API's > Third party apps and trusted the following:
Google Nest Hub Max Speaker with Google Assistant Nest Google Nest Hub Google Home Google Gemini on Wear OS Samsung One UI Home Google Assistant Google Assistant Google Assistant Go Home Assistant
Nothing has worked.
Users on other forums have reported similar issues. It seems to be just with samsung devices. This is a potential game changer for me and i would consider moving to a different platform if this is not fixed.
@opalfruit I would check the "Speech output" setting in your Google Assistant (and/or Gemini) for your workspace account. If it is set to "None" you won't hear a response. It sounds like you want it set to "Full" or "Brief".
Thanks, the speach output is turned on in the assistant app. To be clear it works with a personal google account.
Also the other differen is, is that with the personal google account, saying 'ok google', also loads the gemini dialauge overlay on the screen. This does not happen on the workspace account (only if you press and hold the power button). Instead when you say ok google a small green icon, sometime with a microphone inside it appear in the top right hand corner.
Thankyou for the suggestion. It does not fix the problem though.
It sounds like the phone is doing the correct thing when the settings are correct. I would recommend reaching out to Google to determine if there is a setting in the business account which needs to be updated.
