As the title says, DnD doesn't work properly on my s25 phone. I have sent appropriate pictures below showing that I have it turned on, turned off pop up notifications, and made sure to include Discord in the list of apps to NOT allow. As you can see though, it still goes through with vibrations and notification sounds and all. This isn't exclusive to discord, it's every app on the phone where it says one thing but does the other. What can I do about this or what should I do? I've heard that tons of people are having problems with notifications or DND on their phones so I know it isn't just me with this issue
So I found the solution, albeit it's a dumb one. Go to your DnD settings and have the bottom two "Calls and Messages" set as anything else BUT all. By doing this, my DnD was now working perfectly across ALL apps I chose to silence or apps I chose to make sounds. If I had to guess it, this phone or at least UI or whatever One UI version has a glitch. By setting this filter first, it's like it actually KNOWS how to filter now and will work properly, but selecting all and it skips the crucial important step. It's like building a using a ladder. Your phone can't climb a ladder without it building it first.
Now, I still think it's a bug and not intentional because these social media apps that was giving me trouble are separate apps that send messages and calls to an account, not your number which "Calls and Messages" uses, PLUS it wouldn't stop my YouTube from having pop ups and that's not a messaging app nor has capabilities unless if you include comments. Additionally, the other settings say that they'll get the other apps that you installed and whatnot but clearly didn't.
All in all, I found the "solution" but it's really moreso setting up a prerequisite for a work around rather than it working naturally. It's like using a different math formula for a question and still getting it right. Yeah you got it correct but you didn't do it right.
