This morning my Samsung Galaxy s25 automatically updated to UI 8.0, right now seems like my side button cannot mute my phone only can turn on the volume or vibration
Anybody has the same issue and why it's like this?

Galaxy S25This update is beyond me! IU 8, Why in the world would they remove mute button from the volume keys? I had Samsung phones forever and volume bars always had function to silence their phones! Why in the world does Samsung feels like copying iPhone is a good idea? Return my mute button now! Or next update will cause me to throw Samsung brand into the trash and look for alternatives! I do not want to be creating no routines! I didn't want to be swiping down to other options! I want mute to be readily accessible through volume keys how it always been before this is the quickest and the fastest and most convenient way to silence the phone! I use silence mode very frequently at random times of the day and night due to sporadic working schedule and I need my silence button on my volume keys because I use it very frequently! I do not want to be swiping down from the main menu to be looking for silence button! I need to silence it while my phone is in my pocket by lowering down the volume keys and knowing that on the very last click it will go into silence! Fix this or Samsung will be buried into trash! And I have s25 plus!

Galaxy S25You state that you don't want to use a routine, but you need to silence the phone via buttons while in pocket. Please be aware that routines can assign button actions to accomplish exactly what you're asking for, and is currently the recommended method for doing so.
Also, please be aware that this is a user-to-user tech support forum. No one in authority at Samsung is going to read your post here. To send feedback to samsung, visit the support tab in this app and navigate to "Send feedback."
Have a great day!

Galaxy S25There is a simple workaround for muting incoming calls ring.
Go to Settings
Advanced features
Motions and gestures
Turn on Mute with gestures
Then when you receive a phone call and want to silence it, you can turn your phone face down. Or just put your palm over the screen.
I use this method all the time, and it works great.

Galaxy S25This mutes the sound but does not mute the vibration. Before the updated to 8.0 I was able to mute the vibration using the volume button. After the update this no longer an option.

Galaxy S25I have to admit, I have a hard time understanding why someone would want to keep their phone in a mode where they can easily miss essential notifications.
