I got my 1st S25 Ultra in March 2025 via pre-order from Samsung directly. It lasted until May 2025 when it all of a sudden just went black! It would not turn on or charge. Neither Verizon or Smsung could help. Asurion sod it was a warranty issue since it wasn't physically damaged. After lot of torture, Verizon sent me a refurbished replacement phone for my brand new 2mo phone. That replacement phone stopped charging after 2 weeks. But charged wireless. Verizon then sent me 3 more replacement phones before I contacted corporate and they finally sent me a brand new sealed in the box S25 Ultra in July 2025. This 2nd brand new phone lasted from July 3 until today August 17, 2025. I contacted Samsung and they told me to take it to one of their repair places? Is there a point? There's nothing physically wrong with it. Why doe this keep happening??? Is there something wrong with this particular model? I'm so annoyed that I'm considering getting an iPhone. This phone is currently charging on a wireless charger. Can someone please help!!! Thank you!!

Thanks for this info! I thought I was losing my mind. Though I don't understand how high humidity can affect this model of phones but not other models other than it's a manufacturer defect. Also,  this started happening to me in May, then June (with tje replacement phones) and now August with another brand new phone. I'm in NYC and there was high humidity this summer, but my phone is encased in a rugged waterproof case with a plug for the port. I keep the plug in most of the time because I'm paranoid.  So I know its not a humidity issue even though the UBreakiFix people told me their system shows my port is damaged. And then I got that water/dust/debree message....which is complete BS. I suspect you have the same issue. This is unacceptable for such an expensive phone! There needs to be a recall on this model.

When they replaced the port, I bet they replaced it with a model they didn't use off the assembly line.

Do you have Samsung Care+?

I don't know how much I trust the Ubreakit contractor to say it falls under warranty and they get reimbursed by Samsung for the repair. I should have sent mine in and probably would have been covered. He looks in my port while on the phone with the Servify , told the rep corroded pins, not covered under warranty. He puts me back on the phone with the Sevify rep, that will be $99, pay now please. Sends me a link to pay first, then the repair.Ibleft out that part, because I forgot, you have to call Serify while at the repair place to get the repair authorization.

There is an option in the S25 Settings app to disable fast charging. I understand the reasoning is that fast charging "can" (but is not guaranteed to) cause more stress on the battery and reduce it's life. I have it disabled on my S25U. The option for me is in Settings->Battery->Charging Settings. There's also the Settings->Battery->Battery protection option that limits the maximum charge to 80% with the goal of extending the battery life.

Thanks! I will try that if I can get this phone repaired. They currently have the part on back order because this is common issue apparently with the S25 Ultra

I've had the S25+ for a few weeks now and so far so good. I assume most of the parts are the same although they may have come from a different batch. At any rate my recommendation for ALL cell phones is to pony up a few dollars and get yourself some of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DC6KLX12

They are great and truly limit the wear and tear on the charging port(s).
