With silicon Carbon batteries, there are still risks of faster degradation compared to traditional lithium ion batteries. This is a still major hurdle for manufacturers to overcome and is a bigger risk for a company operating at the scale and size of Samsung. Global shipping in high quantities is also an issue due to international regulations.

Headphone jack and microSD have been absent for many years at this point... It is about as likely that these will return to flagship devices as it is that diskette drives will return to PCs.

That is true. You have great points. To be honest, I am a new Samsung user. My first phone is the S25 Ultra

It will be the exact same cameras as the 22, 23, 24 and 25. If they change the name to S26 Pro as the rumors suggest, there is nothing pro about the base model.

Don't buy it, get a Pixel 10

Why do they even bother calling it Pro yet there's nothing pro about it
They should call it S26-Deja_vu but on a serious note Samsung should do something

Samsung is putting their shareholders money in more LLM modeling (as is Google), including image processing. That would be less expensive than making minor hardware upgrades, let alone making a larger one. There have been minor changes to hardware over the past five years. But my issue with Samsung not fine tuning the night shots, better video and color accuracy. Smartphone camera hardware can only get so large, but there is no excuse to have big increases in CPU processor (especially with the SD 8 Elite) power that can aid in creating accurate photo shots. Also, still has focusing and light adjusting issues between dark and light areas being within the same photo shots.

This is where Samsung excels; daytime shots are the best though color accuracy may be slightly off. Zoom features are still the best I have seen.
