I've got a question about the Auto Blocker app. I have a Galaxy S25, I'm also part of a family group. I used to be the family organizer, but my spouse politely took that title from me, making himself the family organizer. Since then he has restricted the Auto Blocker app on my phone. His reason for doing this is we do not use it anymore. It appears to be a system app, there is no option to uninstall it. From what I've read it seems to be a little important. I thought I should check to see if someone with knowledge about Auto Blocker could help me out with this. I really don't want this to cause any problems or issues. Especially on a phone that I've only had for just a few months. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Galaxy S25Auto blocker prevents data from being transferred via the USB port unless you, the user, want to. You can turn it on or off at will. This is to prevent malicious actors from accessing your data or adding stuff without your knowledge or consent. It also prevents 'charge jacking' if you plug into a public charging station. So, I would say it's pretty important. It IS a system app - it's part of SECURITY and privacy. I'd have to wonder what your spouse is up to. It doesn't save data or battery, so there is no reason, not nefarious, to restrict it.

Galaxy S25While there are reasons to turn it off or on should you need to - I keep it off most of the time - there should never be a reason to restrict anyone's control of the setting.

Galaxy S25There is no legitimate reason to block access to the auto blocker or to lock you out of your own device if you turn it on.

Galaxy S25You need to remove yourself from the family account. If you are sharing a Google and Samsung account, you need to sign your device out of both, create your own accounts and sign in and do not share your passwords, or use any he can guess.
