Galaxy S24

I’ve been using my Galaxy S24 for a few months now, and recently I started using it without a case. Since then, I’ve noticed very faint vibrations for no apparent reason. For context, I’m not a fan of haptics, so I’ve turned off all vibration feedback except for answering and ending calls.

The vibrations are extremely weak and inconsistent. For example, I sometimes notice them when closing an app or when moving the phone at certain angles. They’re subtle but definitely noticeable, and I can’t figure out what’s triggering them.

Do you happen to have this setting turned on? (See attached screenshot)

If that isn't it, you can use Samsung's Nice Catch app to identify the source of unknown vibrations, notifications, etc. https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.app.goodcatch1767893716321.jpg

Hello, @relly0

Thanks for reaching out. I would recommend testing your device in Safe Mode to see if you still experience the same symptoms. Booting your device in this mode disables any and all third-party apps from running in the background that could be causing the symptoms to occur.

Follow these steps below:

Method 1: From a powered-off state (Best for freezing/unresponsive phones)
  1. Power Off: Press and hold the Side key and Volume Down button until the power menu appears, then tap "Power off" to shut down the device.
  2. Start Up: Press and hold the Power/Side button until the "Samsung" logo appears.
  3. Enter Safe Mode: Immediately press and hold the Volume Down button until the phone fully boots and you see "Safe mode" in the lower-left corner.

Method 2: From the Power Menu (If the phone is responsive)
  1. Open Power Menu: Press and hold the Power/Side button (or swipe down and tap the power icon).
  2. Tap & Hold Power Off: Touch and hold the "Power off" icon on the screen.
  3. Select Safe Mode: Tap the "Safe mode" icon that appears, then tap "Safe mode" again to confirm

You can also use this troubleshooting link for more guidence on how to boot your device in Safe Mode, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/

If the symptoms doesn't occur in Safe Mode, it's very likely that a third-party app could be causing the lack of haptics on your phone. I would recommend deleting the most recent "downloaded" apps until the symptoms no longer occurring.

Now, if you are still experiencing the same symptoms in Safe Mode as well, then getting the device evaluated by a certified Technician, so they can further look into this issue hands on. Here is a link to the nearest location near you. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
