Galaxy S24Probably to quash as many of the common bugs as possible before opening to a wider audience.

Galaxy S24On that note though, bugs are still plentiful even with soโcalled โstableโ releases. So whereโs the cutโoff? At what stage does Samsung decide the build is โgood enoughโ to ship, knowing fixes will continue to roll out afterward? Thatโs the part Iโm curious about โ how they balance risk management with customer expectations across capable devices.

Galaxy S24But, it's also on factory unlocked devices on any carrier. The limit to locked T-Mobile devices is a carrier thing. AT&T and Verizon simply don't allow their locked devices in the beta. Samsung has no say in that.
And then there's all the unlocked S25 series devices worldwide that can be on the beta.

Galaxy S24The latest flagship will always get it 1st, then the previous flagship, then everything else however they plan it. It's been that way since I had my note 20 years ago.
This isn't something new.
