The lock screen timeout isn’t the same as the screen-off timeout after unlocking—yet many still confuse the two. Good Lock + LockStar let you adjust the lock screen duration… unless Power Saving is turned on. Then it drops to a frustrating 3–4 seconds, overriding your settings.

:battery: Power Saving mode shouldn’t be all or nothing. Just like you can choose to throttle the processor, users should be able to decide whether to shorten the lock screen timeout.

Time for Samsung to overhaul this—customization and clarity matter.

I believe if you have the AOD set, the lock screen times out faster.  If you do not set the AOD, I believe the lock screen stays on longer - I'm not sure about that though, since it's been a long time since I have turned of the AOD.  I really have no need for the lock screen to stay on.  I use extend unlock, so even when the screen times out, I don't have to unlock it for quite a while.

AOD on or off does not impact the time out for the lock screen.
Worth a try though, but no difference.
The now bar including music is best accessed on the lock screen. I get that AOD can access too. My preference is for the lock screen.

Oh, I use extend unlock so all I have to do is double tap.  I also have a watch and usually control my music with the watch controls or my buds/headphones.  Generally, though, I just put my music player on shuffle and let it play on and don't need to control anything until I want to turn it off.

Update: This is now fixed with Oneui8 which adheres to the lock screen time out user settings in Goodlock and Lockstar even when power savings is turned on.
There are a lot of fixes and refinements with OneUI8.
Beta is very smooth!
