I love my S24 vanilla and am looking forward to OUI 8.5.

 

Any word on when it will be released to the public?

Rollout of One UI 8.5 will start with the S25 series, and will proceed to older series, sometime after the S26 goes on sale.

I'd be very surprised if the s24s received the one UI 8.5 update any earlier than the end of spring or beginning of Summer. Why? Because the s26 is not scheduled to be released until march, then they will release it to the s25 series, and then finally the s24 series.

8.5, yeah end of spring, early summer. They have to sell their next big thing first. Samsung SW rollouts are all about marketing. S24U are now flying in coach.
