Galaxy S24

Hello,

I'm using a Galaxy S24 Ultra with an E-sim. Since the last software update (BYF2), I've been getting the "check sim tray" notification. My Sim tray is currently empty and yet the message still appears.

I've done a search online and it seems it could be a software issue.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Sounds something like advanced repeat notifications. Just swipe it away

Did you clear the system cache and did you use the "Galaxy app booster" in Good Guardians after your phone updated?

Did that, message still popped up. I guess I'll just keep hitting "okay" to silence the notification

Did you try removing the SIM tray and researing it?

I'm just talking out loud because I don't know if this would work or not or possibly could screw something up? So, I hope someone has more information on it. My suggestion is to take an old SIM card from an old phone and put it in there and reboot the phone and then take it out and then reboot the phone again and see if that cleared it. Does anyone have any information on this?

I have just replaced a defective sim card with an Esim at my carrier's suggestion and now have the same issue.  AI seems to tell me it's a software bug, and one way would be to completely remove the SIM holder and rely on the case for covering the hole, but that sounds wonky.  Any advice is appreciated.

It is possible it wasn't your actual SIM that was defective, but the SIM tray.  It may be slightly bent or otherwise defective and causing the phone to be confused.  Yes, you can take the sim tray out.  If you don't want to just rely on the case to protect the opening, you can place a piece of packing tape over the opening to protect it.  They also sell replacement SIM trays.  They are not expensive.
