Hey there guys, I recently updated my S24 Ultra to the new One UI 8 and I gotta say this is the worst update Samsung has made in a while. This updated not only completely ruined my Modes & Routines it also removed extremely important settings that I used daily for no reason. The one that really annoys me currently is Do Not Disturb In Modes & Routines. I need Modes & Routines to be able to automatically turn on Do Not Disturb when I reach school and to Automatically turn off Do Not Disturb if I'm leaving school or wearing my headphones. For some odd reason after the One UI 8 Update this completely broke. Whenever I had a routine that was either manually activated or automatically activated when a Bluetooth device was connected or It was a certain time period it would turn off do not disturb but for whatever reason it is now permanently stuck ON. I literally have to manually disable Do Not Disturb which is extremely annoying. The other routine that would turn it off says "Couldn't perform this action because another operation is preventing it." Without actually telling me what is preventing it.
Hey, also did the ui8 update and have a DND issue, but mine is it just doesn't work. You turn DND on while playing music and notification sounds and calls still come through. Plus, I have 2 ringtones and 2 notification sounds, but 1 esim and no physical sim. Under ringtone it is set to fun/circus. I use circus and it rings fun. If i click it I can change the 2nd but not the one the phone ring or makes noises from. Then after verizon, samsung, and my 'tech people' checked the phone out the problem was left unfixed. Woke up today and calls and notifications are now using the 2nd sound, but the first 2 are still there. And the fun ringtone and galaxy notification sound no longer appear as options on the list. From what samsung said, the ringtone and notification issue and the DND issue are the phone thinks it has 2 sim cards when it doesn't. Also they mentioned with this update there are many app conflicts that can cause this. Unfortunately the option to fix it, reset all the app permissions is not an option I legally have but they did say that should remove any conflicts and fix it. When asked if I did it individually to each app except those I am not allowed to do, they didn't know if that would fix it and don't have a list of specific apps that need to be reset, it was just a blanket do it to all of them fix.
Come on Samsung, get it together, I have had multiple Do not Disturb schedules for years, and even with all of the updates that keep getting forced out for UI 8.0 to my S24 Ultra, only the first schedule works. I struggle to understand how you broke this basic feature?
