Using gallery when I edit a photo and save it as a copy rather than saving it next to the photo I edited it goes into the photo editor folder. How can I change that setting so when I save a photo as a copy it saves in the same folder as the original?

My edited photos save to the same folder as the original. As far as I know, saving that way is the default and I do not know why yours isn't doing that
I don't see a setting to change it.

Have you tried clearing the app's cache or deleting the phone's cache partition? Are you sure you are using Gallery and not Google photos?

Telling me you don't have that problem is not helpful to me and I know what app I'm using but thank you

I only said I don't have the issue, to illustrate that what you are experiencing is not the norm. There is no setting that I can find to direct where an edited photo gets saved. It should save in the same folder as the original. And you would not believe how many people think Gallery and Google photos are the same.

Yes I understand that. The fact that it's not the norm is why I'm here. Haha

I assume youve done all the usual troubleshhoting? Next step would be to submit an error report.

I'm going to wait to see if anyone else has had this problem and come up with a solution. I've never gotten a response from Samsung about anything I've ever asked but again I'm not looking for someone to fact check or checklist what I've done in the past I've obviously done all that that's why I'm resorting to this venue. I'm asking for help not for someone to ask me if my VCR is plugged in or not or if I tried rebooting my laptop. Thank you for your help though

I'm sorry you're offended that I offered suggestions of things you may have already done. Many people who come here don't know where to start troubleshooting or what to do after they do the basics. No one on here knows the extent of anyone else's tech knowledge or what they have already done unless they specifically state it.

People asking for assistance then get aggressive if the help wasn't to their liking. Geez ppl are not obligated to assist.
