How to block private numbers but not unknown numbers (those not in contacts)?

I have a S24+ phone and I want to block those calling me that suppress their number from being shown (aka private or hidden numbers). Can it be done?

I have seen many posts here and elsewhere that claim that "Block calls fom unknown numbers" does that. However, that contradicts what the official Samsung page says:

I find it hard to believe that this "smart" phone can not do this simple task.

If "Block calls fom unknown numbers" actually does it then the official description is wrong and the option is very poorly phrased ("unkown" does not mean private or hidden).

@Samsung: Just give us two options in the phone settings:

1) Block hidden/private numbers.

2) Block numbers not in contacts.

It would solve so many questions and issues.

In phone dial pad settings top right 3 dot than block numbers i believe option than turn on block unknown

Thanks but that only takes me to the already shown menu with the "Block calls fom unknown numbers" option.

"Block calls from unknown numbers" on Android pertains to phone numbers that are listed as 'private' or 'unknown.' This is different from iOS, where it means "block numbers that are not in my contacts."

Hm okay, thanks. The info on the official website is just confusing as it shows an image of that option turned on and above that it states "You can also block numbers that are not saved as contacts". Also the word "unknown" is very ambiguous in that option.

You're right, the Samsung support article is very confusing. The language in the Google dialer on a non-Samsung phone is very helpful in this case (see screenshot). This is the same toggle labeled as "block calls from unknown numbers" on Samsung phones.
