Hi, I recently purchased the s24 ultra and enrolled in the beta. I was wondering if anyone has this issue I am having. When I send a message (rcs) to any iPhone period it will not go. I have to manually touch the message and send as an SMS. All of the iPhones in my contacts have rcs enabled. They even deleted my contact and made a new one. I cleared cache and storage many times to re set messages and it just will not work. Messaging any android with rcs works fine.

If Android-to-Android RCS is working fine, I would venture to guess that the issue is either on Apple's end or has something to do with your carrier's support/implementation of RCS.

I recommend contacting your carrier regarding this issue. They will likely be able to provide you with more information/potential solutions.

@user3Dm1jVZdJt  Did you perhaps have a iPhone before the S24 Ultra

I did I forgot to add that. I turned if iMessage and FaceTime, sent a few messages out to iPhones and androids to make sure iMessage was off. Signed out of everything on the iPhone. Switched esim from iPhone to s24 ultra. The turned off iPhone.

Okay, give this a try. I've found that it doesn't always fully deregister when you use the phone, and you may need to use the website. My sister had the same issue when switching from an iPhone to an S25; she wasn't receiving iPhone messages until she used the website to deregister a few times. Eventually, it started working consistently.

Also make sure you have Imessage and Facetime turned off on all Apple devices

Ok thank you I'll try that. I thought about switching back to my iPhone and the try it again maybe? I don't see anything on the net about this issue so it's gotta be a "Me" issue. I did so this online before and it said my number isn't registered but I'll do it a couple of times and see if that works. Thanks for your help it's driving me crazy

All things are not working. I'm almost thinking I may have an issue with the phone maybe. I switched to the iPhone set it up and all worked perfect. All iMessage and rcs. Went thru all the normal turn off features like all have said. Switched back to s24 ultra and all of a sudden rcs will not send to any iPhone period. I have to touch the message and get the user is offline message and revert to sms. My network provider is spectrum and it all worked perfect with iPhone so it's definitely not that either. I'm out of options now and cannot figure this out. I am running the Samsung beta and maybe thought it was it but I just cannot seem to find anyone else having this issue. Must be the Samsung 🤦

While it's possible this is related to the Beta program, I am currently experiencing optimal performance on my S24U. To troubleshoot, I recommend a device restart. Simultaneously, press and hold the power and volume up buttons until the device enters safe mode. Utilize the volume keys to navigate to the "clear cache partition" option, and select it. Following this, reboot the device. Please assess if this resolves the issue.

I appreciate all your help. This has not helped so at this point now it will not send anything rcs but only to android. I am not receiving messages from apple users either. When I unregister with apple it tells me my number is not associated with iMessage. I am at a total loss here. I hate to say it but I think apple locked me in to that phone 😂 so I am gonna have to ditch this phone and use the iPhone 😭 I need messaging for work

Just did some digging. Looks like in your case, it is probably carrier-side. It appears that Spectrum does not officially support RCS. So likely what is happening is the Android phones are using the Google RCS Protocol between one another without issue... similar to how iPhone-to-iPhone iMessage would work.

When messaging an iPhone, it is likely unable to send due to lack of carrier support. Your best bet is to go into Google Messages > Settings > RCS Chats > auto resend as text.

If you do not turn on auto resend, your phone will refuse to send until it connects to RCS (which in your case, it probably can't due to the network,) and will not fall back to SMS/MMS without manual resend.
