The edge panel is massive size the last update. When expanded covers the screen almost from top to bottom, the dpinis set to 500.
Before this last update it used to much smaller with proper scaling. The height used to be maybe half of the screen or a bit smaller. And the width was much smaller too.

That's how it is. Mine is a single column, but it also takes up the entire height of the screen.1769014767658.jpg

It's supposed to do that.  It's supposed to be a small handle on the side of your screen when collapsed, but expand to take up the length of your screen from just under the status bar to above the navigation bar.  It should be one or two columns wide depending on which panels you have active.  It is also meant to overlay the home screen and any app that is open.  It is meant to be a shortcut panel to quickly get to a feature or app without having to close out what you are doing, not something that stays open indefinitely.

It's always been that size. I don't know what you had before, but even on my older device which only has Android 13/OneUI5.1, it's the same length.

Well it was the same length originally on other devices. But when I increase the dpi it always scalled with it. With new update it doesn't scale with the increased dpi. This is not normal. It seems to be a bug.

No. The bug was probably that you were able to reduce it by adjusting the dpi. There are some settings in home up regarding the edge panels, but I don't believe size reduction was one of them. Here you now have several people telling you that this is the normal size of the panel. Why does it bother you so much - it's not like it's visible at all tomes and interfering with app usage.

It just right it the face. My dpi is 500. So everything is nice and tiny except this. All the other settings and apps have changed. If it was a bug previously, and fixed now, then all the apps today have a bug. Everything in the UI has a bug except the panel now.
Here is a screenshot on how the change in dpi affects everything. 1769022109711.jpg

The edge panel is supposed to be a fixed size regardless of dpi settings. So it was likely a bug that allowed your edge panel to be resized in the previous version.

You are not obligated to use the edge panels if you find it annoying.

I love it but small. Like it used to be. All I am saying is give me the option to do it. Why take the option away.
That's the whole reason to use an android.
