Camera settings are not applying when taking a picture?

I have certain setting picked under Face for the camera when it's on selfie and I see the adjustments when I open my camera but when I take the picture, it doesn't keep. Why can't I take a picture of what I see. Why does it change?

Open camera, then settings. Scroll down to settings to keep and choose which camera setting you want to automatically apply each time you open the camera app. Hope this helps
