Alphabetize Apps after One UI7 Update

Does anyone know how to alphabetize the apps on the home screen? My phone was recently updated but the settings won't allow me to set up the apps in alphabetical order. Any suggestions?

Gary is right. There has never been a sort option for home screen. If you want to sort the app drawer, tap the 3 dots in the search bar.

Alphabetical home screen sorting exists on iOS, but has never been an option on Android that im aware of.

However, because the App drawer is now alphabetical by default. You could easily do this by doing the following:

In the app drawer, long press the first app you want. Select every subsequent app in the order you want it to appear. Once all the apps you want are selected, you can return to the first app you chose. When you drag it to the home screen, it will stack all the other apps you selected in the order you selected them.

When i click the three dots on the search bar it gives me 2 options - settings and choose apps to search in. Nothing about sorting. I've attached a photo below

You are clicking in the search bar. Don't do that. Immediately after swiping up to go to the Apps page, click the 3 dots at the end of the search bar.

If you're referring to the app drawer, the option to sort appears when you press the three dots without expanding the search bar.

It has to be in vertical view to get the sort option

Mine used to sort mine alphabetically as well but no longer after the update

If you mean your app drawer, the only way to have it alphabetical is Vertical for now. Horizontal, you have to manually sort.

Your home screen is what you look at when you unlock your phone.

So I guess we have to wait until the developers fix it for the horizontal view? If so that sux!

The feedback on this one particular change has been so negative that they will change it.

Most other things you can change manually or with Goodlock modules.

Until then, just use the search bar.

I would choose the system and settings category, frequency often. Then describe what you don't like and what you would like.
