selfie photo cropped after taking?

So I have made some important selfie with me holding a paper and my ID card and made sure all is nicely in view, but after taking the photo when I viewed it it cropped itself! Why the heck is this happening and what kind of silly automation is this? I had to retake it only for it to be cropped again, but this time less, so fortunately it was usable.

I am sorry, but as I wrote earlier - I am serious, so why aren't you? It absolutely does not matter how I hold the id card. Please watch my video properly before answering! Don't you see when I tap on the miniature to see the taken photo it is first correct - the same image as was in the frame and a little bit of my third finger is visible, but after a second it gets a little bit zoomed in and cropped! Seems like this is some weird "optimization" when I take photo of a document, because this does NOT happen when I just take a selfie not holding an id card and when I take a selfie and tap the miniature to see it there is no change like this.

What makes you think I am not serious? Because I do not agree with you?  I watched your video about 10 times.  I saw your hand drop slightly as you took the shot.  I saw the end result. I don't see anything amiss with the end result.  Just because the image fills your screen when viewing, does not mean that everything along the top sides or bottom will be in the shot.  There is a margin that does not get included.  Now, if you showed me something where the ID was directly under your chin, and that got cut off, that would be an error.  I obviously did not have the same "error" as you, as you can see by my shot. Once again, if you truly believe that the phone is at fault, put in the error report and let Samsung evaluate your video and your phone logs.  There is nothing more anyone here can do for you.

and you are an Honored contributor, really? You just give me stupid instructions how I am holding something wrong, but that's all absolutely irrelevant!

" Just because the image fills your screen when viewing, does not mean that everything along the top sides or bottom will be in the shot" - Seems like you are not a big photographer if you claim such nonsense! Since when the phone camera shows you something else when taking the photo then what you get in the result? No, that's not how it works and it would be really impractical, if you carefuly position objects into frame and then end up having something slightly different, don't you think? Of course there are image enhancements happening after you take it, but it should never result in a loss of information and details in the photo!

I truly believe this is a FEATURE of the phone but I don't understand which one and I am pretty sure that it's a pretty stupid one. So looking into some phone logs probably wouldn't reveal anything special. I might try to make you another video where maybe even you would see the difference. Meanwhile I will try asking on some other forum, because this one is hopeless 😞

So you think its a bug or a feature, yet you refuse to put in a report. You don't know anything about programming if you believe the logs will show nothing. You don't want help. It's also why no one else is wasting their time responding to you.

That post is from the European community.  A total of five people (including yourself) does not indicate a widespread problem. One person even said they solved it with a reset. You were told to put in an error report, which you refuse to do. If you won't put in an error report, you give up your right to claim it as a bug.  I'm done responding. Do as you will, but you do not want help.

My video clearly shows the issue I am talking about, so if you ever wanted to help me, it would be great if you just said "OK I get what you mean" and then we could think about if this is normal behavior or not and if it can be adjusted somewhere. But you just keep pretending you don't understand and keep telling me I don't how how to take proper selfie photos! I personally find this attitude really rude!
